Prostatitis, also known as prostate infection is the infection of a walnut shaped prostate gland that causes pain and swelling. It generally affects men who are above fifty years but it can also affect young men who are in the age group of 20 to 35 years.

If you are suffering from Prostatitis then you may experience pain during urination. This is one of the main symptoms of this painful ailment. A lot of people complain of having mild to severe pain while passing urine owing to prostate gland infection.
You may observe pain that initially begins in the groin and then spread towards the abdomen and also affects the lower back. If this symptom is left untreated for a considerable period of time, then it may cause low blood pressure and confusion. It may also lead to fatal consequences if the prostatitis patient is not treated properly.
Increased Urination Frequency
Increase in the urination frequency may also be one of the main symptoms of Prostatitis. You may suddenly observe that your trips to the toilets are increasing, especially at night.
Normally people do not pay attention to these things and attribute it to increased consumption of liquids but it could be a potent symptom of prostate gland infection.
Erectile dysfunction is one of the major problems and symptoms of prostatitis. In this ailment, many men fail to have an erection or even if they have it they may experience pain while having a sexual intercourse. In some of the extreme cases, it may also lead to impotence. If you experience problems in erection or pain while ejaculating, then do not delay and consult the doctor immediately as it may be a severe symptom of prostatitis.
Fever and Joint Pain
Fever and joint pain are also some of the common symptoms of prostate gland infection. Some people may experience mild fever, whereas others may complain of high fever.
In addition, it can cause muscle ache. Though this is a common symptom and may appear as simple flu like symptom, it is essential to check with your doctor if you experience any other symptom of prostatitis along with fever and joint pain.
Due to pain and other discomfort in prostatitis, you may feel fatigued and tired. This ailment can easily cause loss of energy in the patient, which may make you feel like lying on the bed all the time due to lack of enthusiasm.
Stress and Depression
